Limelight Academy based in Dunfermline provides theatre education and practice to youngsters from P4 to Age 21 via its two educational programmes:
Limelight Kids Theatre (P4-P7) and
Limelight Carnegie Youth Theatre (S1-Age 21).
About Limelight Academy
Our aim is to build confidence and to provide children the skills necessary to follow a career in the performing arts, should they wish. We also offer the opportunity to put those skills to use by staging full length theatrical productions.
Our facilitators are all professionals who have worked in or are currently working in the industry. We also invite guest practitioners to lead workshops with our classes in their specific fields. Whether that be acting, movement or voice.

Get ready to move it, move it with Madagascar The Musical at Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline this April! Performed by the delightful stars of Limelight Kids, this wild and wonderful adventure roars to life on 25–26 April 2025. Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo as they escape from the zoo and find themselves on a hilarious journey to the island of Madagascar. Packed with catchy songs, colourful characters, and loads of laughs, this family-friendly production is perfect for audiences of all ages.
